Maya Nozaki studied music pedagogy, modern flute and recorder at the Musashino Academia Musicae in Japan, and obtained her bachelor's degree. As a flutist she won the Osaka International Music Competition. From 2011, Maya followed flute lessons with Liliko Maeda and a year later she began her flute studies at the Royal Conservatory with Barthold Kuijken and Frank Theuns. She was chosen as soloist for the orchestra project of the conservatory, and performed flute Concerto by Leclair.
In 2015 she won the third prize at the Yamanashi International Competition for Early Music.

She joined the europe tour 2016 of Bach Collegium Japan.
